Surface Laptop 13-inch debuted May 6, 2025, with Snapdragon X Plus power in two editions starting at $899 and a fingerprint reader for secure login on a thinner, more affordable design.
Surface Laptop 13-inch debuted on May 6, 2025, at Microsoft’s Copilot+ launch event, and was available for shipping starting May 20, 2025.
This ultra-portable Copilot+ PC is powered by an eight-core Snapdragon X Plus processor, features Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, delivers all-day battery life, and sports a sleek new chassis. It is available in Violet, Ocean, and Platinum finishes and is offered in two configurations:
- 16 GB RAM with 256 GB SSD for $899
- 16 GB RAM with 512 GB SSD for $999
To keep the design thin and the price accessible, Microsoft removed pen input and the Surface Connect port. It also replaces Windows Hello facial recognition with a fingerprint reader for fast and secure sign in.
