

The Surface Pro 5 launched on June 15, 2017, starting at $799 and brought a refreshed design, enhanced kickstand and advanced pen features.
Microsoft unveiled the fifth-generation Surface Pro (marketed as Surface Pro 5) at its Shanghai event on May 23, 2017, and began shipping it on June 15, 2017, at a starting price of $799 for the Intel Core m3-7Y30 model with 4 GB of LPDDR3-1866 RAM and a 128 GB SSD.
It introduced sleeker, rounded edges, a deeper 165° hinge kickstand, and expanded pen support with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity plus tilt detection. On-screen Surface Dial capability also made its debut on this model.
