The Surface Laptop Go 3 was announced at the Microsoft AI event on September 21, 2023, with a starting price of $799.99, $200 more than its predecessor, the Surface Laptop Go 2.
Despite the higher entry price, the Go 3 provides a more compelling base configuration. It now features fingerprint login, an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, 8GB of 4800MHz LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Previously, a setup with these specifications would have set you back $899.99.
Additionally, the laptop can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD for a total of $999.99.
In addition to the Surface Laptop Go 3, Microsoft introduced the Surface Laptop Studio 2 at the event and quietly launched the Surface Go 4 exclusively for commercial customers.
