Microsoft will provide full driver and firmware support for the Surface Pro 7+ until January 15, 2027.
Since its January 15, 2021 launch, Surface Pro 7+ benefits from Microsoft’s extended lifecycle policy for devices released on or after January 1, 2021, which guarantees at least six years of driver and firmware updates.
Official Surface documentation sets the end of servicing for Surface Pro 7+ at January 15, 2027.
Device | Release Date | End of Servicing Date |
---|---|---|
Surface Pro 7+ | January 15, 2021 | January 15, 2027 |
After January 15, 2027, Surface Pro 7+ will still receive Windows OS feature and security updates under Microsoft’s standard Windows Lifecycle Policy, provided it meets the minimum hardware requirements of future Windows releases.
In rare cases where critical security flaws require firmware remediation, Microsoft may issue additional updates beyond the end-of-servicing date.
