How long will Microsoft support Surface Pro 3?

Surface Pro 3 received driver and firmware updates until November 13, 2021. Windows OS updates continue as long as hardware requirements are met.

Microsoft’s Surface lifecycle policy guarantees at least four years of driver and firmware updates. The Surface Pro 3 launched on June 20, 2014 and received updates until November 13, 2021, a full seven years of support.

After the end of servicing date, Surface Pro 3 devices continue to receive Windows OS feature and security updates under Microsoft’s Windows Lifecycle Policy, so long as they meet hardware requirements for future Windows releases. Currently, Windows 10 remains the latest supported OS for Surface Pro 3.
