Windows Hello facial authentication is a biometric login method that uses an IR camera to map your unique facial features. It delivers instant, password-free access while guarding against spoofing attempts.

To enable facial recognition on Surface Pro 8, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. Under Facial recognition (Windows Hello), select Set up and follow the on-screen prompts to register your face. Once configured, simply look at the front IR camera to unlock your device.
