Surface Pro 3 lacks a native Ethernet jack. You can add wired networking with a USB-Ethernet adapter, hub or dock.
Surface Pro 3 offers only a single USB-A port along its right edge. To get a wired connection, plug a USB-Ethernet adapter (sold separately) into the USB port, then connect your network cable to that adapter.

Microsoft’s own Surface Ethernet Adapter is a USB 3.0 dongle designed for all Surface tablets, including Surface Pro 3, and delivers plug-and-play Gigabit networking. You can also use a USB hub or docking station with an Ethernet port for a cleaner desktop setup.
